Readers have rights too. Many, indeed the majority of residents in the Northern Arc of Bracknell feel very strongly that the Council is bulldozing through development proposals without sufficient consultation and indeed that their proposals are unsound and detrimental to the local community.
Most of the residents we have spoken to in Warfield were unaware that some 2,200 new houses are about to be built on Cabbage Hill. This will nearly join up Binfield with Warfield and create a continuous sprawl from Bracknell. Warfield used to be a village.
Do you know that Bracknell Forest Council is planning to rip up a legal agreement they made in 1990 to protect Blue Mountain from development – probably not, but unless they can be stopped the green gap between Binfield and Bracknell will disappear under concrete and roof tiles.
The list goes on and on and most residents will be affected. If you feel as we do, then let us have your views.
