This should not stop you from commenting on the impact of this development in your area, particularly the Northern Arc and Crowthorne.

At this point, we believe it is important to point out that the Conservative-led Coalition Government has given all Council’s the opportunity work together using new powers and responsibilities and build “Local Enterprise Partnerships” (LEP).

The Borough Council has recently agreed to set up a LEP, and we believe it might be better to wait for this to be established, up-to-date facts and figures to be collected, and Government policy to be consolidated so that a true and proper understanding of housing need can be developed before green sites are lost under concrete, brick and tarmac.

We express our concern that considerable human and financial investment is being put into the “Preferred” Option Site Allocation Document in Bracknell Forest which will lead to a premature decision on housing allocation based on historical data that does not reflect existing and future economic uncertainty and Government policy.
